Here is a useful technique that can help you pick up those drops easily. It is not an auto-pick like the pets do but I found it useful from the start. Here is how you do it.

Everytime you kill monsters there are rewards given called loots, aside from Experience and Energy, to pick them up you need to point your mouse and right click the dead monsters and clicking 1 by 1 the items that pop-up in front of your screen. Now to make it easier on your part, instead of just right clicking, press or hold the Shift key down while right clicking on the monsters, this will automatically pickup everything and put it on your item/inventory.
